Product Overview
The 8.1 oz. Counter Assault bear spray balances spray distance and spray time: 32 feet of reach and about 7 seconds of spray. It puts out a high-volume, atomized cloud of pepper spray at 2% capsaicin and related capsaicinoids (the legal maximum), made to deter grizzly, brown, black and polar bears, plus mountain lions and coyotes. A tough nylon belt holster with a hook-and-loop closure is included and mounts to a belt or pack strap.
- 32-foot range, 7-second spray time: a good mix of reach and duration in a lighter can.
- Maximum-strength formula: 2% capsaicin and related capsaicinoids.
- EPA-registered: Counter Assault was the first EPA-registered bear deterrent.
- Holster included: nylon belt holster that rides on a belt or backpack strap.
- Made in Montana: developed by a grizzly-encounter survivor together with the University of Montana.

Safety
Keep out of reach of children. Bear spray can cause serious eye injury at close range and is strongly irritating to the eyes, nose and skin. The canister is extremely flammable and under pressure: keep it away from heat and flame, and don't store it above 130°F. It is a deterrent, not a guarantee. Don't seek out bears, and read the full can label before heading into bear country.
